About the Baker
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA (Go Falcons...even though I’m not much of a sports fan!). I began my journey at just 18 years old when I joined the U.S. Navy. Over the next 20 years, I served proudly and lived in places like Jacksonville, Norfolk, and even spent a year abroad in Bahrain. Each experience shaped my discipline, resiliency, and appreciation for new cultures.
My passion for working with children led me to join the Big Brother Big Sister program, where I discovered how rewarding it was to make a positive impact. During that same time, baking became my creative outlet. Something that started as curiosity and quickly turned into a deep passion. With a little encouragement, I took a leap of faith and began building what would later become my business.
Eager to refine my craft, I earned a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Stratford University. A few years later, I established my LLC; Sweets Made Wright, a name inspired by my last name and a reminder that everything I create is done “the Wright way.”
After proudly completing two decades of naval service, I retired and embraced a new chapter as both an entrepreneur and a mother. Today, I’m living my dream; creating beautiful cakes that bring people joy, traveling whenever I can, and giving my baby boy all the love he deserves.

How Sweets Made Wright was started!!
I'm originally self taught but I went to school to perfect my craft.
My journey into baking started unexpectedly through the Big Brother Big Sister Program early in my career. One day, as part of an activity, we decided to make a cake together and that simple experience sparked my curiosity and love for baking. At first, it was just a hobby. I would bake occasionally, creating cakes for friends and family whenever I had the time. Over the years, their encouragement and one friend’s persistence pushed me to take it more seriously.
While serving on active duty in the U.S. Navy, I continued to nurture my passion, even though life aboard a ship left little room for running a business. It wasn’t until my shore duty assignment that I finally had the space and stability to focus on it. That’s when I began building my cake business into what it has become today a true blend of creativity, dedication, and the joy of making something sweet and memorable for others.
I take pride in what I do, and I do it with passion. From mixing the ingredients to decorating the final product, every step is carefully executed to ensure that my customers get the best possible experience.
